Have you thought about using credit card and sell when you are done? I would guess you are going to do the bank/wire transfer and i think it will take a few days. You might be lucky if you have a western union or something like that then you can do exchange quicker.

I think your best bet would be to go and try biting a deal with the guy on localbitcoins. Negotiate? There aren't many options if you do not have a bank account/credit card.

VirWox is easier because you can bypass the crap about getting accepted in exchanges and giving away personal information, but the fees are shit.

If you have no bank account and no cash how do you expect to buy/do this trade? Either look at local bitcoins or try buy some from the forum Currency Exchange here.

I believe you have misunderstood OP as he is not looking to buy bitcoin. Instead, it is the opposite and he wants to sell his bitcoin to get about 700 USD fiat money.

Still in Yerevan, with low cash. But will last until Tehran. There I think I found a buyer. Great opportunity for someone in Yerevan to start trading cash, as I am sure it will attract travelers like me...

I recall reading a similar thread a while ago that the person was on travel in Turkey and had some troubles selling bitcoin for cash. It seems there is a good market for such traveler bitcoin exchange service.
After some forum searches, I am surprised to discover that Turkey traveler was in fact valex231.

Every Bitcoin you hold could be exchanged to fiat money at an exchange point (business or private person) that accepts it. Why would you need this kind of "American Traveler's cheque" overhead?

I think the idea was for someone like this that did not have a bank account, or prepaid card. From sounds of it he was counting on in person transaction which could be hard to find depending on location.

Hey fellow bitcoiners,
I am in Yerevan. I again did not plan ahead and stuck with no cash. Would anyone local help me?
I have no bank account, localcoins: only one trader with no rep and high minimum.
I can't find any Armenian Bitcoins forum.
I would like to buy in USD as I am heading to Iran shortly.
Thank you all for help:)
IMHO, Trading 700USD worth of BTC in an unknown place with unknown people sounds to me like putting yourself in the harm's way. I think you should consider exchanging only a moderate amount of cash - the equivalent of $25-$50, for example. Just my 2 satoshi.

I agree with the potential risk, but since he has been struggling to find just one bitcoin buyer in Yerevan, it is mission impossible for him to find 10 different buyers for 10 small trades. I do find a buyer paying cash in Yerevan on localbitcoins, but he has done 0 trade before...

What are the odds? It's almost as if people should be careful with this one...
