Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

It appears I was scammed last night out of $25 dwolla by a certain user who has not posted in this thread... I have given him til noon to complete the btc transaction before I release his info... Any advice appreciated, I'm really kind of pissed off right now with this whole bitcoin thing. It's very frustrating. Still, I will continue to buy for the moment. All offers considered! Post here. Liberty reserve also WTB.

You are pissed off at bitcoin? Would you get pissed off at pizza if the delivery guy never showed up?

Sorry to hear it. Any chance of using an escrow next time? I know that for such small amounts it is hardly worth. However, you can just test what the possible seller response will be. Scammer will try to perpetuate you away from the idea.

With regard to the current one, it is hard to judge when we do not know the person. Anyone with low post count? I would think that $5 for reputation that takes month to build is not really worth it...

I'm pissed off because these pizzas are very difficult to get. And because nobody wants to cook me one. And because Pizza Hut wont let me order a pizza for 30 days.

I was suspicious the whole time, but I had dollar signs in my eyes. Yeah, low post count. I think that it is definitely worth it. Any rep is better than no rep.

(is it possible to send 3 payments of $10 to avoid the $0.25 fee?  Grin)

apparently dwolla has a 30 day noob waiting period for the major bitcoin exchanges  Angry
