Hi guys,

I got excited with bitcoins and decided to mine some!  Grin

But I hit a roadblock, I downloaded the most recent driver (the ati 12.4) and I get a blue screen of death as soon as I enter the last details of the pool in cgminer. I have a 5830 and I use MSI afterburner to clock them to 950:1000 (gpu:ram).

I'm not sure whats wrong, does anyone else have problems with this driver?

I'm moving to 11.12. I searched the forum and most people are happy with that version.

Ok so I succesfully uninstalled 12.4 and installed 11.12 and cgminer works flawlessly!

Here's something for people having problems in the future:
Downgrade ati driver 12.4 to 11.12 and you should get no BSOD with cgminer.

I agree with this.  I had issues with newest drivers and my 5850 ... but 11 seems BAD ASS.
