Bitcoin addresses contain a checksum, so it is very unlikely that mistyping an address will cause you to lose money.

Might want to change the title of the thread to reflect that only the minting of new coins is coming to an end... you certainly want people to continue mining, otherwise how are you going to record the transactions of those coin sales and movement from wallet to wallet? Smiley
