Bitstamp Closed my account and took 10%

I just wanted to give a heads up on a bitstamp issue I had.

I opened an account and wired $15,000 to them.  Because I can do wire transfers from my business account for $15 and over the internet I wired the money from that account, rather than my personal account.

Because it was a business account they asked for the KYC documentation before my account would be credited.  I didn't foresee it being an issue.  I provided the documentation but I didn't have a satisfactory reason to invest in bitcoin so they elected to close my account and return the funds minus wire transfer fees.  That was fine with me as BTC-e  is cheaper.

3 weeks later $13,488.29 was returned by bitstamp.  I asked for an explanation for the "fees" and haven't received a response.

Even you wired from your personal account, KYC is still needed.

What is this? Do you have to explain to bitstamp why you invest in bitcoin?
And what it would be a satisfactory reason?
"I want to become rich when bitcoin hit $100000". Is this ok for bitstamp?

Are you sending in USD or foreign currency?

seems high but are you reading the same currency? maybe they are displaying a different currency than the one you sent them

I sent them US Dollars to the bitstamp account which is in US Dollars.  There was a note in the wire transfer about a 1.2046 Euro/Dollar conversion, which is absurdly low.
