More of my s4 shares are discarded than accepted. As a result, my pool is recording only a couple hundred GH/s of work from my 2TH/s rated S4. Any insight is appreciated.

It only gets worse the longer I run it: now 1032 discard, with 41 accepted. But it's reported all ASICs online and its showing that it's running at 2000-ish GH/s.

I am having the same issue; mining on eligius, but eligius does not seem to accept any of its work for some reason. I started a separate thread on this here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=808196.msg9059046#msg9059046

I find my batch 1 units don't run as well above ~40-42degC. You're quite a bit higher than than, why don't you try to run them cooler for an hour and see if it makes a difference?

This is what happens when Bitmain decided to ship these out before testing the firmware....... Roll Eyes

I bet they're still using an old cgminer version too.

Glad I held back now.

I suspect these units are WELL tested lol…..

Yes, it is the older non patched version of CGminer…

The developer of CGminer has stated more then once that the discards are not an issue, and should not even be part of the GUI was my take on it .

Bitmain has stated that they will patch CGminer with the next firmware upgrade…

So we wait and see .

That would be the promise they made 6 7 weeks ago?........well before releasing S3+ firmware still with unpatched cgminer in it?

Our R&D team is testing the latest firmware, we will upload it to our official website once it is ready.

Aren't you supposed to test the firmware before shipping them?

Bet they wish they had now....... Cheesy
