Hello,

I have a 5830 that I'm mining with. Using guiminer (newest), Catalyst 12.3, and the card was set up using AMD OverDrive 800/1000 (stock). Enabled manual fan control @ 100%. I get an average of about 248 Mhash. How can I get this nearer to 300?
The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

Use cgminer, catalyst 11.11, trixx to OC your card, and get the fan off 100% before you wear it out

I actually have tried cgminer and it didn't make any difference it seemed. But I will try the rest of your recommendations.

I have 6 5830's all oc'd @ 950/500 and they're running at 300+/- mh/s, i could push harder but they're nice and stable with those settings

248 is about the max you can get at default clocks.
