I discovered this fun coin that mines from movement in your smartphone. Download app and just leave it running.

Seems to me the holy grail of fair distribution without energy wastage. Other coins would benefit this way to mine. Exchange coming soon.

People are trading OTC here. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=762060.0

I just read the developers have asked Cryptsy to look at code and accept them. I bought a bunch OTC but I think I overpaid for them. But I have a hunch this coin could go viral with a bit of PR. Bitcoin for kids has a nice ring to it. Imagine kids sending them to each other!

It's clearly a beta product but I can see huge potential.,

I think, that as a distribution method, what MangoCoinz is doing has a good chance of reaching people that crypto would otherwise not have been able to reach. I think this is a positive development.

It does not help with security - but there are other ways to deal with that problem.

Urea N46 tracks gradual increases in energy and food prices over the long term.

What I meant is that they still need another form of PoS or PoW to actually secure the chain.

At the moment it is using centralized accounts stored on a server (I think). Its probably a necessary bootstrapping process but I am just saying that eventually they will have to deal with the block chain security side of things.

Its fine for now since they are (I believe) the developers are mainly interested in studying the network effects and the ability of this distribution method to spread.

I discovered this fun coin that mines from movement in your smartphone. Download app and just leave it running.

Seems to me the holy grail of fair distribution without energy wastage. Other coins would benefit this way to mine. Exchange coming soon.

I don't know but what I do know is it works with the internal orientation on phones so you at least have to run it on either a phone or tablet that does this.

Thats whats so cool about it, you don't just run the app you need to move the phone around, in your pocket seems enough but you got to move.

I can't believe no one thought of it earlier. It could take mining into the mainstream for other coins too.

I bought a couple of hundred off one guy on the OTC thread, apparetly he put the app on all his families phones and goes walking with them in a backpack.  Grin If anything its gonna be fun hearing how people mine as much as possible, cue phones taped together on bikewheels and phones put in tumble dryers.  Grin

On a more serious note it might help the mainstream understand the concept of mining more easily if they see a tangible effort needed.

Cool idea (really!) but won't touch it until open source.
