He must've been drinking 5 0'Clock vodka early in the day and came upon the worst hangover possible and then just pulled the plug in one fell swoop. However, sitting on that kind of coinage when reading this forum's speculation section could also do that to you if your stomach lining isn't made of steel.

Do you just record the order book of bitstamp as a general rule? I noticed that the recording started ~a minute before the sell wall hit.

I was also very surprised as to how resilient the price was when the "bear whale" placed his order. It is not unusual for the price to decline as people will try to sell ahead of large orders like this in order to profit when the order causes the price to decline

It was unquestionably a whale. It seems very out of character to be one of the ongoing players though. I'm guessing it was a genuine attempt to cash out by a large holder.

Wow and people say there are not a demand for BTC

Whalebear was hacked to pieces by small carniverous fish... chomp chomp fish bait. Experiment failed?

The lights are still on and the show is still going strong in the BTC community. Will Whalebear be the next million dollar pizza guy? Time will tell.

So go ahead, dump some more cheap coins, we are still hungry.  Grin

Sorry I dont really 100% get it. What exactly happened? He put 30K BTC to sell @300? So he saved BTC to go down way deeper? And now people who wanted cheaper coins are angry because he did this and saved BTC? Or am I wrong?
