Well, I think btc will continue to slump for some time, but when the everyday person starts to see the value in btc and buys btc rather than paying with btc, then the price will go vertical hard and fast.

After a long time we have positive CCI. Also positive divergence and MACD riding over the EXP. -20 to -25 but the trend is up and if it pulls over the 0 mark, we will be back over the 500 mark easily.

The noobs have missed their train and bitching and moaning will commence soon....

CCI getting close to the 100 mark after a very long time. MACD/EXP at -15, -20 and we are looking at a nice ride if it pulls out from below the zero mark.

Yep, but maybe there will be a better form of crypto, we don't know that just yet, only that mining is getting ridiculous Smiley

The better form will also take time to establish and be tested - if Core developer community agree, it will be integrated into Bitcoin (remember, it's only software and can be updated) - Incentive being $5+ Billion industry.

As a scientist perhaps I'm biased, but I think the Alt derivatives are great experiments into the possibilities of Blockchain technology.

I'm not a miner, but if I was to invest - It would be into chip manufacturing architecture/design rather than personal hashing. I believe ASICS is not the answer and a much more efficient dedicated hashing technology will be developed very soon (Several Centillion orders of magnitude to current)

Kind of like how the ownership of your coins is only data and can be updated by the "Bore developer community"?  Oh wait, it's not so simple...

Bitcoin has never accepted consensus on a breaking change opposed by more than $60k worth of entrenched interests.  Tens of millions, maybe even a hundred, have been sunk into SHA256 PoW.

The printing press heralded the end of the Dark Ages and made the Enlightenment possible, but it took another three centuries before any country managed to put freedom of the press beyond the reach of legislators.  So it may take a while before cryptocurrencies are free of the AML-NSA-KYC surveillance plague.

still need to go over 350 first. uptrend when 650 1200$ is broken.

Fixed.

Depends on your time frame. If you zoom out 11+months, we're still in an uptrend. If you zoom in, breaking $680 probably puts us in an uptrend. You'd have to have a very peculiar zoom, right at about 9 months or 10 months, to not see breaking $680 putting us into an uptrend.

What are you looking at??? I see mostly lower highs for the past 10 months... Hence the 70% loss people have incurred in such a short amount of time!

This was a pretty good pull up...if it gets out above 0(very close now), its a pretty good deal and will get us moving on the upside significantly.

http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/btceUSD#rg60ztgSzbgBza1gWMAzm1g10za2gWMAzm2g25zxzi1gCCIzi2gMACDzv

-3/-7 at this time, pulled out all the way up from -32/-35 in a matter of couple weeks.

Train has left the station a long time ago.

Those who are still here are just bagholders.
