If you have not read this book I highly recommend it.  It is a story of how revolutionary anarchists (I know I know, don't laugh) undermine and destroy the fiat currency system by using gold for a currency.  I think in a modern context (it was written in 1979) bitcoin can be seen in the same light.

The political philosophy is fun but too bad it is such a terrible read.  I would recommend just reading Samuel Edward Konkin III's New Libertarian Manifesto and then read some of Robert A. Heinlein's work such as The Moon is a Harsh Mistress.

Introducing constraints to the economy only serves to limit what can be economical.
