This is a huge cluster of projects to develop the Bitcoin economy.

Update/Intro:

I've been very busy, thank you for the entertaining range of responses.
Here is part of my reply to a PM received today:

1) ...looking for people with imagination, creativity, sense of adventure, etc.
2) Some of my best ideas could be quickly copied, so I purposefully "allowed some confusion" at this time.
3) More details to follow...

<Original Post Starts Here>

Hello All,
My writing style is a bit unusual, this is one reason you see such a large bounty proposed for Good Writers.

In it's current state Bitcoin offers us a fantastic world of opportunities.
Over a year ago Bitcoin was a genuine Once-In-A-Lifetime moment for people who acted decisively at the right time.

Once-In-A-Lifetime: 1,000 BTC Shared Among A Small Group Of Good Writers

Almost anyone with a keyboard and a touch of imagination can attempt to claim they are offering you The Next Big Thing.
Nobody else in the Whole Wide World can say...
  • You will now be a part of the greatest Once-In-A-Lifetime opportunity in all of human history!
No person in the Whole Wide World can say that, and actually produce the series of surprises you are about to enjoy.

What?
What did you say?
No other person in the Whole Wide World can produce the series of fun surprises you are about to enjoy.

That sounds a bit extreme, are you crazy?
Bit crazy? If I am 'nuts', then I'm looking to upgrade to a wildly successful, eccentric person.

OK, you have my attention for now, what is this?
You need to know these important highlights:
1) I have been working for years preparing to launch... Edit (see #2 below)
2) Both #1 and #2 have been modified, you will see why in a moment.
3) The first batch of writing will be related to our crowd-funding efforts. Almost the entire bounty will come from 'investors' and early adopters.
4) You never have to nervously wait for me to pay you. Investors and early adopters receive an incentive (a discount) if they are willing to make a split payment; This way you get paid directly for your good writing skills.

What IS This?
Our best, highest-paid writers will need to have decent writing skills combined with at least some amount of imagination.
Instead of clearly telling you too much at the start here is a fun twist:

How To Enter:
  • Minimal Effort = "I am interested, please give more details" (or something similar, in your own words)
If there is a lack of people who give a greater effort, then you will get a chance.

  • Greater effort (Recommended) = Please enter by posting a brief sample of your writing (Max 4 or 5 paragraphs - Min 2 or 3 Sentences)
The subject is "What Is This?"
Based on the information given* (plus your imagination),
  • What could I (we) be planning that no one in Human History has ever attempted before?

*Spoiler Alert! There is much more info in the bottom section to help with your writing.

Deadline for entry = Edit: <Update> Changed to TBD/ Deadline not currently known</Update>, or ~30 (Greater effort) entries whichever comes first.
Total # of Winners = TBD: ~4 or 5 large bounties and probably many smaller ones | Note: 1,000 BTC is a realistic goal, IMO. The final number will obviously depend on 'investors', crowd-funding, early adopters, and other sources of funding.

Tip #1: If your core ideas are so valuable that you choose not to risk sharing, then do what I did and write an exciting teaser.
Tip #2: If we are blessed with a large number of responses the earliest ones will have some advantage (not buried on page 5);
You can reserve a spot by quickly answering "I am interested", and then come back later to edit your post.
Tip #3: Info at the bottom (last section) will help fuel your imagination. The question "What Is This?", still is not fully answered.

Hope you have fun, and remember the sky is the limit!

'Investors' and early adopters:
Of course you will need more details.
1) I have been working for years preparing to launch over 80 to 100 unique Web Projects all "at about the same time", during a truly unforgettable series of Epic Adventures "for Geeks, Entrepreneurs, and other Fun people."
2) Some projects, certainly not all, will be related to the Bitcoin economy.
3) FYI: 'Investors' is intentionally in ' ''s since we are not currently a registered investment opportunity. (more details to follow)
If you want to be alerted regarding valuable "early-response discounts" then feel free to respond here, or PM me, and you will be notified ASAP, thank you.

I'm interested.

I love writing, according to the people around me, I've way too much imagination. So I think that I qualify for that kind of Bounty.

Now, I have to understand what your spaghetti-adver-teasing-cryptic message means. After reading it a few times, I had to bring it to a specialist.

It was a very old shop in a dirty street. The kind of shop that exists in every city but that you probably don't want to know. As soon as I opened the door, I was hit by the dusty sweet smell. A very old man was buried under the biggest glasses I have ever seen. Handing him your message, he looked at my face and smiled, discovering plenty of yellow tooth.
— That's a rough translation of the Voynich manuscript, he said.
— Ah…

Surprised, I was unable to answer more.
— Is there anything else I could do for you, young man?
— But, how can I claim the 1000 bitcoins then?

With one hand, he started to stroke his beard.
— Well, young man, are the rules clear?
— Not at all. It looks like there is no rules.
— Don't you think that rules are like barriers? They are there to prevent abuses.
— Maybe.
— So, like a horse in an empty field, you are asking me for barriers in order to know where to run?
— That's not the way I see it.
— When someone scream "Go!", you can observe two kind of persons. Those who run and those who ask "Where should I go?"
— And I'm the one asking? regretting immediately this obvious pun.
— When there is no rules, freedom is the rule. And only a few brave men can accept that rule. People invent other rules to protect themselves against the fear of freedom.
— Will I earn 1000bitcoins by listening to silly pseudo-philosophical quotes?
— You learn quickly young man. Go and don't tell our conversation to anyone.
— Is that a rule?

He laughed, I went out of the shop and now, alone in front of my computer, I'm wondering: what is this 1000BTC bounty for?

This, while not a scam, is likely a pipe dream.

I'm interested!

Quote
I leaned back in my seat, pleased with the outcome. I had written a piece and been accepted by a user known only as "Bit_Happy" to come with him on an Epic Adventure sure to be filled with great peril and toil, but in which I would receive a reward greater than that which I could imagine.

I suddenly got an acute feeling of nervousness. What had I gotten myself into? A scam? Some nutter's pipe dream? I was determined to find out, and had to stick with it, no matter what got in my way. I had to be The Writer.

I may expand in time. I had to run.

Fucking scammers.
Reggie's mouse pointer moved directly to the delete button in a well-practiced motion, then paused.  Being a moderator was heavy with the weight of not crucifying users just because you'd sold all your bitcoins 1/6th of the way up its recent meteoric rise.

He rescanned the lengthy and inscrutable post--there was no overt scam here.  So what was it?  Something about the pacing didn't sit right with him.  Instinctively, he began checking the first letters of each sentence, then the last ones.  He dumped the text into a custom program sitting open on his desktop and flipped through every letter interval from 3 to 30.  Nothing!  But the frequency counts showed he was on to something.
Nobody uses that many w's.

He switched to a terminal and his fingers began spewing Python like molten lava.  For 20 minutes he coded feverishly, dead to the world.  Then suddenly--that was it.  He stared purposefully at the vestal missive laid bare on his monitor, the words sinking slowly into his pulsing cerebellum.  He didn't think he'd be going into work tomorrow.

I'd settle for an explanation that actually makes some sense.

Especially for a business based on writing, the introductory post should be comprehensible.

I don't usually take it as a good sign when someone goes to such trouble to get you excited while giving out as little info as possible regarding what it is you should be excited about.

I'm a professional writer and will attempt to edit the originator's post for 100btc.  I could've written a more cogent narrative on LSD =)

I'd happily underbid you at 50btc if Bit_Happy is looking for a chance to demonstrate his or her commitment to this project.  I have to say, even a little punctuation would go a long way to improving readability.

Whatever could it all mean, the words were there but they faded in and out of meaning. My brain hummed to the tune of five heaving video cards cooking numbers in the wires. Maybe I was seeing it all backwards, that I was mistaken and confused, It would not be the fist time that this had happened. The seconds melted into minutes, thoughts rolled across my mind like puzzle pieces being strewn across an irregular landscape of moving color and sound. A brightly illuminated gentleman swam over to me as I floated aloft on my back, pulling on my pant legs he motioned me towards a small door on the horizon. What was this door, was it the way I had been looking for?

As it grew closer I got the warm sensation that toast gave on a crisp morning laced with dew and bird chatter, a singing tone rung out from beneath me and the illuminated gentleman ducked under for a quick peak. This murmur grew more and more vivid, the wash of detail more and more in focus. They were telling me to pay close attention and at the same time to let my thoughts wain over the banks of accepted discourse and through the deep undergrowth of my hidden alleyways.

"How obscure" I murmured to myself, "It's a test".
