f you bought at least one Red Bull between January 1, 2002 and October 3, 2014, the company owes you a $10 check or $15 worth of free Red Bull Products. It’s all due to a $13 million lawsuit the beverage company has decided to settle with Benjamin Careathers. Careathers, a Red Bull drinker, claims that the drink maker misled him and other consumers with its slogan “Red Bull gives you wings.” He says the company advertised some of the benefits of drinking Red Bull include increased performance, concentration and reaction speed. Of course, none of this was ever proven or backed up by scientific evidence. Bevnet.com quotes the lawsuit as determining: A 7 oz. cup of drip coffee contains approximately 115 to 175 milligrams of caffeine, depending on the blend, and a 12 oz. serving of Starbucks coffee costs $1.85 and would contain far more caffeine than a regular serving of Red Bull. An 8.4 oz. can of Red Bull contains 80 milligrams of caffeine. To claim your $10 cash refund, all you need to do is register online at the link below before March 2, 2015. Again, you don’t need any proof of purchase. See the link for further details. http://energydrinksettlement.com/claim(Edit: looks like it's only for US residents. blah)

Hey thanks Vod.
I got a settlement check for $60 from Airborn once because they claimed to "cure colds" for a while.
Who knew that Red Bull didn't actually give you wings. Lol.

Is Redbull owned by different companies in the USA and Canada? Also, what happens if more than 1.3 million people claim, since that will equal more than $13 million? At any rate, I love these lawsuits. I received a settlement as part of the lawsuit again Danone for their Activia yogurt. It's about time these companies are held accountable for their bullshit claims. Then again, I wouldn't mind if energy drinks like Red Bull were banned altogether. Those fuckers are addictive! They are also really bad for your health overall.

No idea what happens if that many people claim it, which could easily happen with just needing to drink one Red Bull in the last decade

No idea what happens if that many people claim it, which could easily happen with just needing to drink one Red Bull in the last decade US courts make sense, LOL! Sometimes I just choose to over think things. Was looking into this a little further, and some sites are claiming it's not entirely true what is being stated. The $13 million settlement is indeed real, but it looks to be limited to the first 1 million people who claim. http://globalflare.com/red-bull-false-advertising-settlement-scam/From the article: The Numbers Don’t Add UpThe problem is that Red Bull sells over 4.5 Billion cans annually. If we were extremely generous and assumed the average consumer purchases 50 cans per year, that would mean that at least 90 million people purchase a Red Bull each year. Even if Red Bull only gave $10 checks to the people that purchased a Red Bull in 2013 (forget everyone since 2002), they would need to pay out $900 million. The $13 million dollar settlement won’t even cover a fraction of the claims. Here’s The Good News:You can register online or download their form and mail it in – if you’re one of the first million people to do so, you might get $10 or $15 worth of Red Bull products. Just wondering, you say this would never happen in other countries, how so? I've seen similar lawsuits happen in Canada and other countries.

It was on my customized Facebook feed. Not sure if you guys would be able to see it. No problem, the other guy posted a link already. You gotta be really skeptical about the stuff you see on facebook. Did you see the one claiming red bull contained bull sperm? Looks like they've received alot of requests already. enough that their webserver is spitting out this 502 - Web server received an invalid response while acting as a gateway or proxy server. There is a problem with the page you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed. When the Web server (while acting as a gateway or proxy) contacted the upstream content server, it received an invalid response from the content server.

Not really, just one of many internet hoaxes out there. I agree, one must really be skeptical about what is posted on facebook, or even the internet in general. i was reading one earlier about how if you drink or bathe in bath salts, you can prevent infection form the Ebola virus. Apparently at least 2 people have died from doing it. I find it fascinating that the internet is supposed to give us unlimited access to the truth, but many just fall for all the scams. I see it daily. It's kinda sad that there are so many scams out there, some are hard to spot. Remember though, don't believe everything you see on the internet, thats how WWII started.

Man as much as I Hate supporting one of these Ridiculously frivolous lawsuits... I have had many Red Bulls, so I guess if I claimed it for me then at least that'd be one less person who's never even bought one ripping them off.
And only in the U.S. is right... So many bullshit lawsuits get by here. But- I guess it's better to have too much freedom than less. And somebody asked why only giving them back to America? Well, U.S. Courts can't exactly force them to pay out other parts of the world.
