Aloha!

My name is Mark Thacker and I'm building a bitcoin company out here in Hawaii. We're behind Hawai'is first bitcoin ATM and we're working on something we're calling the ASK Project. Right now it's a labor of love, but a bit more info can be found on our still-in-beta website, www.pacificblockchain.com. Currently I work in sales in the vacation ownership industry, but my real passion is Bitcoin and, hopefully soon, I'll be working on PBC full time.

Owing partly to the fact that my co-founder, Edward Hickman, is a fairly active voice in the community (and has recently exposed a major theft of NXT http://cointelegraph.com/news/112643/the-mystery-of-the-missing-1000000-nxt) I figured it was time to step out of the shadows and introduce myself to the community. If this is the appropriate place for an AMA (I'm not sure of the rules here), feel free to ask away. I'll do my best to keep an eye on this thread and answer any questions as best I can.

To be clear about jl777: I do not know his identity, Ed does not know his identity although they may be collaborating on a project, and I have had no contact with JL777 to date, although i admire his work and am of the personal opinion, based on the best evidence that i have, that he is an honest developer. I do not personally trust your assessment to the contrary based on the simple fact that you have not yet responded to the allegations against you. Until you do so, I will ignore you on suspicion of malignant trolling. Please clear your name so we can talk.

For those unfamiliar with bluemeanie, he is widely and substantively alleged to be the thief of 1,000,000 NXT (http://nxtreporting.com/?tr=9677367184378728685). He has taken to spamming and stalking me and my friend Ed (author of a popular article detailing the allegations, http://cointelegraph.com/news/112643/the-mystery-of-the-missing-1000000-nxt) on twitter and this forum. Personally I find this to be a beautiful illustration of the blockchain's potential for investigative journalism, although it is a little disheartening to be stalked by an internet troll before the ASK Project (slated to be our company's first product) even hits public beta.

Still, its kinda fun imagining bluemeanie, played by Steve Buschemi, connecting a wall of forum printouts together with bits of string and thumbtacks.

PBC does not recommend investments. Its operating partners reserve the right of recommendation according to our individual discretion. Would I personally recommend a jl777hodl asset? Yes. Supernet sounds like a great idea. Could I be wrong? Yes. If your position is correct, I would be wrong to be bullish on supernet, nxt, and cryptocurrency in general. In this day and age people should not arbitrarily place trust in 3rd parties--the sad truth is that bitcoin is a juicy target for scams (see above). Even for my "best pick" reccomendation, the best thing I can say about them is "i'm 80% sure it's not a ponzi" (shameless referral plug: https://bitcoin-trader.biz/?ref=mthacker).
