There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I don't have any idea why they give this name, maybe come from the pronunciation, DigiByte. gi pronounces ji, namely “极”, te pronounces te, namely "特", it is a innovative name actually.

digi refers to digital, byte means 8 bits.

According to the meaning of the word DigiByte, it can be translated to 数字节 or 数字字节, if I make a name for you, I would use 数字节 instead.

By the way, I support English-Chinese OP, whitepaper and website translation services, I have served for many great alt-coin dev teams, like Counterparty, Viacoin, Shadowcash(SDC), Crypticoin(XCR), you can check my service link for details: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=759494

If you need English-Chinese translation service, PM me, tks!

Unfortunately after consulting native speakers... who met us with hysterical laughter... this translation is not possible. It means "big chicken dinner," or in Chinese slang, a positive reference to parts of the male genitelia. Smiley
