Can I use DDR3 Registered ECC RAM, usually used in servers (HP or Dell), in the 890fxa series boards?
It appears that most 8GB sticks available are Registered ECC RAM for servers.

For Bitcoin to be a true global currency the value of BTC needs always to rise.
If BTC became the global currency & money supply = 100 Trillion then ⊅1.00 BTC = $4,761,904.76.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Nope, won't work. None of these will fit your specs?: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007611%20600006050%20600006074&IsNodeId=1&name=8GB
I see 30 different options, and that excludes kits of more than one stick.

Unfortunately the price for 48GB is prohibitive via NewEgg.
Current bid:   US $99.99  -  48GB (6x8GB) PC3-10600R DDR3 1333MHz R-DIMM dual rank server memory HP Dell

Ah, Sad Unfortunately, ECC memory requires specific chipset and and board support.
