It has literally taken days for mtgox to process my last couple withdraws.  Several days.  For anyone trying to use bitcoin for transactions that need to go to USD, this seems totally unacceptable.  Is anyone else bothered by this?

Mt. Gox has acknowledged that Dwolla is and remains a problem for them to be able to accommodate the withdrawal demand.

Mt. Gox isn't the only exchange that you can use to cash out for Dwolla.  Intersango is one.  Camp BX is another.  Camp BX will do an ACH withdrawal for you instead as well.  BitFloor is adding ACH withdrawal as well.

i tired to withdraw $25 yesterday to my dwolla account.   got an email that it will be processed shortly.   now it's been a day and a half and i still don't see the $25 in my dwolla account.   i also don't see the transactionID that mtgox provided in the confirmation email in my mtgox history of transactions.. very weird.  additionally, when i go to withdraw section now, i think it changed!  not sure what is going on here.. sent an email to customer service, no reply yet.

Mt. Gox was showing 6 day delays recently.   You can request that they cancel the transfer if you prefer.

I asked MtGox to send $250 to Dwolla on the 12. WTF dwolla?!

It isn't Dwolla ... an account-to-account (A2A) transfer is instant.

Mt. Gox was showing 6 day delays recently before they can send your funds.   You can request that they cancel the transfer if you prefer.

Quote from: MtGox
Following the announcement this week from Dwolla regarding a change in their user policy, we are now obliged to institute Dwolla’s AML requirements for any Mt.Gox customer who uses Dwolla as a transfer method.

Effective from Friday 25th of May, any user using Dwolla via Mt.Gox will be required to own a Verified account.

How do I become Verified?
"Verified" status can be obtained by any Mt.Gox user by submitting a copy of government issued photographic identification documentation and proof of residence (utility bill, etc.) documentation via our dedicated interface.

To submit documents you will need to log into your Mt.Gox account, go to "Settings" by clicking on your username in the top-left of the page and then click on “Get Verified.” Once the proper documentation has been submitted the process will in general take a maximum of two business days.

Dwolla is also requiring their customers to accept their new ToS, so any transactions involving Dwolla are likely to be slow until users have verified done what's required with both companies.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

Hello,

This has been due to the huge volume of withdrawal requests for both international wire transfers and Dwolla, but we expect that the issue of delays will be resolved soon.  Dwolla withdrawals are taking around 6 business days to process and international wire transfers (provided that the amount is not too large as there are limits that the bank is imposing on us) are taking about 1 week.  We apologize for the delay and inconvenience.  Thank you for your kind understanding in this matter.

It was a cunning plan to have the funny man be the money fan of the punning clan.
