Just curious if there is a way to set up a pool so that you are credited for share difficulty you find and not just the current share diff. Example:  if diff was set at 1024 and you found a share at 4096 diff, you would get 4096 shares instead of just the 1024.

Maybe statistically it doesn't make any difference, but small miners that solve a really high diff share might see a better reward.

Any ideas on this?

I invented a reward system based on this a while back, and ozcoin implemented it for a while, but they found they could no longer sustain it since it just ends up being a variant of PPS. See the PoT (Pay on Target) discussion, or as I originally called the system DERP for Difficulty Extrapolated Reward Payment (no idea why they didn't adopt that name).

hhtt.1209k.com (Horrible Horrendous Terrible Tremendous Mining Pool) used to do this, but they shut down in December last year.  Maybe their thread has some info on it though, dunno.

I kind of guessed you were already way ahead of my thinking Smiley  Maybe a HERP Pool with a DERP system! lol.
