Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

So you are saying the next 21 days are critical?

Did OP read that from his crystal ball?

We will still be in the hundreds level. Probably $400 to $600. It is too soon after the dip below $300, over $1000 is pushing it.

Great observation, I was thinking the same!

Well, at 365 USD/BTC, we're a little bit closer to 1000 than 100.

I highly doubt that we'll reach either in the next 3 weeks; Bitcoin's rarely that volatile.

Well, his prediction may seem all encompassing (it will go up or down!!) But it is fairly specific, as 2 or 4 digits is very unlikely.

Come back in 3 weeks and see!

What kind of reasoning is that? we are closer to double digits...

IMO we'll be still 3 digits in 21 days, there's no reason for it to move above or below.

If the price of a bitcoin drops 3-fold we'll still be in 3 digits (122 USD/BTC).  If the price of a bitcoin rises 3-fold we'll be in 4 digits (1095 USD/BTC).

No, that's actually exactly how it works. price movements are relative to the current price. $1 increase was +1000% once, so absolute values make no sense in markets. Only percentages.

LOL I think you need to brush up on your addition and subtraction. At 365 we are 265 away from 100 and 635 away from 1,000. 636 > 265.

I think we do have the momentum to get back to 1,000 within the next few months. You need to remember that we went to ~100 to over 1k in less then one month last november

Does this mean you think we are closer to $1 than $1000?  Are we closer to $0.01 than $1000?  What about -$10? that's only $375 away.

I don't doubt your arithmetic, I'm just not sure that addition and subtraction give us a useful notion of closeness in this context.

In what way are we closer to $1,000 then we are $100? I am not a bitcoin bear (but rather a long term believer) but the fact is that we are closer to 100 then 1k.

Actually you need to brush up your multiplying and dividing.

Addition and subtraction have nothing to do with it, it's all about relative movements, and percentage wise 1000 is in fact closer to 365 than 100 is.

If 365 increases 3 fold you'll be over 1000
If 365 decreases 3 fold you'll still be over 100

So relatively speaking, 365 is closer to 1000
