Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

How many of these events have to happen before people go back to using cash or some kind of crypto currency.  Seems like the iron is hot and this is the perfect time for a change.
