Related (kind of):

I'ld like to see Johnson take some of Karl Denninger's advice though:

Though Karl wasn't previously as supportive:

It should be noted that his campaign admitted today that they have no realistic chance of actually securing the nomination. Yet, a simple 'no' to endorsing the LP candidate.

Paul is a GOP member.  Johnson is not.  Why would Paul even consider endorsing someone who is outside his party?

Not American, so I'm hardly an authority.  It seems that Ron Paul hasn't really cared that much what his party thinks on a number of issues -- going with his own opinion over theirs.  Is there any reason he wouldn't continue that policy with who he endorses (I'm not arguing that he should do this -- I have no clue who Gary Johnson is)?

Not American either but generally politicians who raise funds as members of one party from the rank and file members of that party do not turn around and endorse a rival party candidate.

My opinion is that Ron Paul is trying to change the Republican party and use it as a vessel for his libertarian ideals. As far as strategy goes, it would be a bad call to alienate many in the party he is trying to change by endorsing a candidate from another party.

Ron Paul and Gary Johnson are very similar ideologically - I wouldn't be surprised if Paul will vote for Johnson in the actual election (just not make it public).

I'll give my standard answer (useful whenever anyone say ron paul).

Who?

I suppose that could apply to Gary Johnson too...
