What is the best operating system to use for mining, in your opinion. In my case is use BAMT. What do you use?

Nope, no crossfire, no dummy plugs, just plug and go.

What is the best operating system to use for mining. I heard linux is good. What do you use?
-Sasha

People have had good results with either. If you're building a GPU mining rig you should definitely check out BAMT. It's a linux system on a USB stick, with drivers, miners and perl scripts all ready to go. Just write the image to the stick, plug it in, and edit two configuration files. I use it and am very happy with it. Check out the Project Development subforum as there's an ongoing thread there, to which the author regularly posts.

If I've said anything amusing and/or informative and you're feeling generous:

Has BAMT matured since October? I tried it then and found it to be incredibly unstable with CGMiner.

Use Win7 if you use it as your daily/gaming rig and BAMT if you have a spare USB and want the extra speed from a mining only OS.
