The article isn't bad, but it never addresses the topic of what the negatives of accepting bitcoins are.

One thing i couldn't agree more on what is written in the article is that enthusiasts especially only focus on the positives, and to certain extent blinded and completely ignore the dark side. For the coin to progress we need to see the whole picture, admit the flaws and find ways to overcome it

Flaws have been pointed out and addressed appropriately multiple times. People just don't understand how to actually research a topic before posting an article about it.

I spent my first year here watching, of all people, Matthew Wright attacking Something Awful goons who brought up every flaw they could think of. Every flaw was either fixed, deemed unimportant or is currently under scrutiny in the dev and tech section of the forum. There are no add water and stir solutions to the remaining flaws in Bitcoin. They will take time to fix but you can't say they are unknown or ignored by Bitcoin zealots. We know them better than anyone.

There are so many bitcoin related news sites that will accept anyone as a "journalist" and will publish any article that their writers want to publish, probably with no editorial review, or only reviewing for spelling and grammar issues.

We are living in a society which is called "technologically civilized" society. Every small work we do is technology dependent. So they do have to fully understand the ins and the outs of the Bitcoin software and protocol as it is digital money.

The negatives will be gone when more people uses bitcoin. Those merchants who adopted bitcoin early have a good chance of good profit later when bitcoin rises.

Only where atlas was concerned. He really did chase a lot of idiots out of here. He had two main problems. He gave theymos too much shit and he thought everyone else was inferior. That made him a monstrous troll.

There are very few negatives to accepting Bitcoin.
The positives greatly outweigh the drawbacks for the vast majority of companies.

The article isn't bad, but it never addresses the topic of what the negatives of accepting bitcoins are. I disagree. I consider that entire new organization to be untrustworthy as most of their articles are nothing more then fluff while giving nearly zero useful information. This article is not an exception to that rule

It starts of with 'Untested Technology'. I find that a bit strange. I thought regulatory issues would be #1.

Flaws have been pointed out and addressed appropriately multiple times. People just don't understand how to actually research a topic before posting an article about it. A lot of the writers are paid on a per article basis and on a per "view" basis so if they make something that attracts a lot of attention they are paid more. As a result they have an incentive to make shit articles like this that have a good chance of getting a lot of attention despite it's lack of research. This is very similar to signature spam that we see on the forum

There's no negativity in accepting bitcoin. the negativity is in peoples mind who cant accept bitcoin. There is negativity in just any action that exist. But we select actions where positivity prevail over negativity. Or if we have 2 options we select the one that have more surplus of positivity over negativity.
