In-Depth Security Features With many exchanges getting hacked and compromised, we employ a number of security practises to ensure your account and your funds are safe with us.
Instant On-Demand Cold-Storage PolicyWe run a cold-storage policy that we like to call Instant Cold Storage. Every deposit you send in to your address is sent to Cold Storage automatically in full. This provides the best possible safety for your funds in case of a compromise.
Two-Factor AuthenticationCustomer accounts are protected with a username and password, but are also behind our Two-Factor Authentication utilising Email code generation and Google Authenticator. 2FA is standard and mandatory for all users and staff.
Bullet Proof ServersOur web-server that provides the user front-end has been hardened from common attack methods, and utilises a locked down firewall only allowing specific traffic. All servers require a secure VPN before gaining any access.
Segregated Backend EngineWe've designed our application to keep security as a top priority, with a segregated backend engine controlling all aspects from placing orders, withdraws and trade matching. Every event executed from the web-server is verified by the backend. Wallet servers are deployed with separate user accounts to prevent malicious code attacks.
ApplicationOur codebase has been checked and verified for prevention against SQL Injection and XSS attacks. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt salt for maximum security both client side and server side.
Website SecurityHTTPS is required for all connections to the web-server, and encrypted via SSL certificate. Traffic is passed through CloudFlare to pick up all common attacks and threats on a network level. We also utilise CloudFlare DDoS Protection and cacheing for a continuously fast user experience.
Our Security Research department is continually looking for new exploits and vulnerabilities in our code and infrastructure to make sure that when a problem is found, it's resolved in a timely fashion. As part of our security policy we welcome all security researchers to test our code and infrastructure as this helps us and in turn helps the community and our users. Any exploits/vulnerabilities that are found should be submitted directly to the Security Department via our Support Ticket system. We will vet all submits and reward with a bounty ranging from
0.01 to 0.1 BTC. Despite this, EmpoEX is not designed to be a Crypto-Currency bank, and we strongly advise users to take caution when storing large amounts on-site for long periods of time.

Getting your coin listed During the Open Beta phase, Coin Developers may contact us to request their coin to be one of the first to be listed. This is not a guaranteed listing, only a consideration.
If we decide to list your coin, we will begin testing and auditing the code ready to list. Updates will be posted once a coin has been listed.
Once listed, we encourage developers to notify their followers/users by spreading the word about EmpoEX.
Release Schedule The following details our currently planned release schedule.
Phase 1 - Open BetaThis phase begins today, right now. The site is open and free for everyone to register. However, it requires a Beta key in order to completely register. This key will be handed out to people in the #EmpoEX-Beta IRC channel on Freenode. Join us now and get the Beta code.
The open beta phase will last for 2 weeks. During this time we will be listing initial coins and taking all bug reports. This is also a
low fee period for 2 weeks. 2 whole weeks with only 0.01% fees to welcome our users and give you a chance to decide if EmpoEX is the place for you.
We will also be taking feature suggestions and coin listing suggestions during this period.
Phase 2 - Launch RolloutAfter the 2 week Open Beta phase is over, we will do a live rollout to full release version. This means you can keep your trades, your balances, deposits/withdraw history and account intact. The site will be in maintenance mode while we do this rollout for performing final checks on our systems, ensuring all reported bugs are fixed and everything is in place for full operations.
Phase 3 - Official Launch + Low Fee WeekOnce we officially launch, the super low fee week will be
extended by another week to give a chance to people who didn't participate in the Open Beta to get to know EmpoEX. Once this low fee period is over, our trading fees will come into play at
0.2% for buy and sell orders.
We will then begin normal operations from this point onwards, providing everything goes as planned.
