Any online wallets worth considering for small amount of bitcoin?
It has to be something with a simple signup that doesn't require the user to jump though hoops such as photo ID or a passport just to send and receive bitcoins
I had a look at coinbase but found the site confusing as it seemed more about buying and selling coins.
My reason for a simple online wallet is i wish to try out these PTC sites that give you a small amount of BTC for watching adverts and doing simple tasks.
Thanks

Blockchain has a lot of money behind it's development. They also have some nice features on their mobile app.
Use cold storage still, and blockchain for daily spend.

I just used trusted gambling sites. They keep all their funds offline anyways, but this doesn't help if it is the site itself that runs off with the coinage. I used doge-dice.com for all my DOGE (site is now since gone .) Gotta fight the temptation though Blockchain.info and coinbase aren't bad either.

just use bitcoin core. i've been using it for years, and other than a stolen laptop with approximately 7.43 btc on it, i've never had any bitcoins stolen from me. luckily i had also kept a text file of the private keys on a thumbdrive and i immediately retrieved the coins and sent them out of the wallet to a new address.

mycelium don't have any online wallet yet just for mobile devices but in this case blockchain.info is the best for OP.

blockchain.info wallet is by far the best online bitcoin wallet, and AFAIK it is the only one that enables its user to have the private keys. Your bitcoin should be fairly safe if you have enabled 2-factor authentication (2fa).

The private keys are the only things you need to spend your bitcoin. In other words, if I have your private keys, I can spend your bitcoin. You should make a backup of your wallet (essentially your private keys) so that even when blockchain.info goes belly up, you would still be able to import your private keys to other wallet and spend your bitcoin. Of course you don't want anyone to get your private keys, so you should encrypt your backup before storing it on your external HDD, USB, dropbox, or email account.

So i can't just click pay from the wallet like Paypal , i have to use keys? This is like learning a new foreign language. No, it's very easy, just like Paypal. Using wallet to spend bitcoin is just a click and type activites. 1. Choose/paste the destination address 2. Type the amount of BTC 3. Click send You better try using blockchain.info wallet, or multibit/electrum client first and feel how easy it is to use Bitcoin! After that you may learn more about private key backup and etc ...
