Is Apple Pay a threat to Bitcoin?

ApplePay is only limited to the US, while there are lots of people in the rest of the world. So no, it's not a threat at all in the grand scheme of things.

Hehe don't forget one more thing, Apple's solution only works for US resident customers shopping at US merchants. A lots of people won't be able to use it when they visit the US they don't have a residence there. Still leaves the vast majority of the world untapped. At least PayPal works in more than one country.

Of course, because there are some cooperations between  Apple pay and Bank ,there will be no  cooperation between the BTC and the Apple pay.

Apple Pay is not a threat to Bitcoin. I don't understand the hype surrounding Apple Pay. Google Wallet is pretty much the same thing as Apple Pay except Google Wallet has been out for over 3 years.

First experience with Apple Pay: $26 at Panera, paid w/Apple Pay, still had to sign a paper receipt. Yay for technology.

Apple pay won't ever come close to hurting Bitcoin...the only way bitcoin can be in trouble is by us the users itself and I don't see that ever happening. So nah XD.

I don't think apple pay only works with US phones with US merchants.

Apple pay is a major selling point for the iPhone 6 (apple sells iPhones around the world) so I don't see why they would only make this feature available in the US.

and obviously Bitcoin is more flexible and convenient.

Yeah.. I agree. It will be so much better if Apple Pay integrates with bitcoin.
