I'm curious what kind of coin they will create. It is not easy to secure a coin. There are always someone who try to exploit this coin.

Just recently stellar and ripple was exploited using the partialpayment vulnerability the hacker got $1.2 million to $2 million worth of ripples and stellar.

Even a government backed centralized coin can raise awareness about cryptoes and once ppl aware of it they might want to know more. So eventually this coin could be an good thing for us.

if the government of the Philippines to take this step, it is a very high courage and risk taken is very high, making cryptocurrency as the official currency of a country, and there is one disadvantage of these measures, namely, cryptocurrency have freedom in terms of trade and the need for connection internet as a transaction path, if indeed cryptocurrency will be made official currency, then the currency must have a physical form like any other, whether the peso could do that?

I would say countries like Philippines and Ecuador should first strengthen their fiat, then think about creating cryptocurrencies.

As for the Philippine Government? The PI Government can easily use a tokenized asset named EPESO from within Counterparty. It would allow the Central Bank to fully utilize the openness and security benefits of the Bitcoin Blockchain while having full control of currency issuance and price via a vending application like vennd.io. Another option is to utilize Dogeparty either with or in lieu of Counterparty for faster mobile applications requiring quick settlements, such as bus tokens, Movie tickets, sending a Birthday email with some cash embedded, etc. However, they appear to be trying to do it the exceedingly hard way via 19th and 20th century models adapted to 1990's speculative reports. Just Google "E-PESO" and USAID to see the plan they already have in progress. It reads like a manual written by my Grandmother telling me how to DVR a television show. They are re-inventing the wheel and making it square.

Counterparty??? that's ridiculous. And USAID's draft is the USA's half-baked pipe dream for epayments in the Philippines, totally disconnected from the government's plans or wishes.

The ePeso we're creating is real, not some half-baked draft of a draft of a proposal of a proposal
