Place here because no one would answer in the Italian section.  Angry
I apologize for my bad English, I hope someone here to help me understand.

I need to understand a few things about antminer s3, I mean I have 3 S3 overclocked to 237.5 all working on the same pool but make it in a totally different way, the yield is reflected on the pool too.

ie make on average 485,478,432

They are all set in the same way, the only difference is the software installed:

What I wonder is whether the software affects the performance so much and if it is, because the version of cgminer should be the same also because it does not refer to increased performance on the various updates downloaded from the official website.

It should try to update with the latest software to make it to S3 plus (S3+)?
How risky is to update the software?
What is the right procedure, I think I understand, but I have to reset the miner?
Do not undermine, leave all fields blank in the pool and proceed to upgrade?

thanks

I tried to send the command cgminer -v but I do not get an answer.

I did the following:
open putty
login root
root password
cgminer -v sending

no reply.

How should I do?

2 are s3.
S3 plus 1

what makes less among all is s3

open putty and login, then enter and press return:

/usr/bin/cgminer-api

then look for status (should look like below) which includes the version in the description.
