I can't withdraw my BTC until all deposits are cleared and this bullshit tiny amount is holding 2+ BTC of mine hostage because I can't withdraw with unconfirmed deposits. Is there anyway to get this stupid thing a confirmation? IT HAS BEEN 2-3 DAYS NOW. THIS IS BULLSHIT, I DIDNT EVEN SEND THAT DEPOSIT.

Nitrogensports - a gambling facility.
Sorry, I have a temper problem and my frustration with this has been more then patient here and yet someone else screws with me. Trying to sell before tomorrow - Mondays and Fridays who knows what the price of BTC will be by the end of the day - which is why I'm trying to sell now.

Similar thing happened to me! I did a Robocoin transaction. When I sent BTC to the address provided by Robocoin, some spammer dumped a few satoshi on that same address. Well, the Robocoin software wasn't expecting the extra deposits and totally blocked everything. At least Chris who operates the machine is a total stand-up guy who gives kick-ass customer service fixed everything after a bit of working on it. Now, the guys at Robocoin have fixed the glitch. But here is the real problem: these spammers need to be stopped. The very next version has to have an anti satoshi feature which block stupid dust transactions to many addresses. I freaking hate spammers.

What is the point of the spammers sending the 1 satoshi to so many addresses? The ones I've seen at my addresses don't have any notes or anything...just the transaction. I don't understand how they benefit.

stop using a public adress everywhere ... dust can't find "valid" adress. they find "displayed" adress (on internet).

I think they are trying to break Bitcoin. It won't suceed, but it is doing damage as can be seen with OP's case.

How exactly are we meant to use our addresses then? And they're not just collected from online but some get spammed after you've made a transaction so they're collecting them from the blockchain regardless of where they've been posted. This is definitely a problem that needs to be solved especially when it's holding people's money up.

...
It won't. Services just need to handle unconfirmed transactions properly. Here it seems they do not handle it correctly. OP is right to be upset with the service itself. And unconfirmed transaction should not block you account.

what wallet do you use? did you try "reset blockchain"? If using multibit this usually clears things up.
dust transactions dont prevent me from spending unless I try to spend the dust. I think with all dust transactions added up i have only been sent ~0.0002 btc total. does not affect the 2.5 btc I have in that particular hot wallet.

looking at the receipt address https://blockchain.info/address/1GvcziEyFMxHKqXSaWFGhvZUgh9dDRAyU2all funds have moved with confirms.. all that is left is the 0.0038280 unconfirmed payment. if you have other funds in other addresses, which your client wont send due to the non-confirmed 1Gvczi address. simply grab the privkey of the other addresses containing funds(DO NOT GRAB privkey of 1Gvczi) and use another client to move just those funds. that way they wont see the 1Gvczi address

Have you ever heard of the 'blockchain'. they can find pretty much all addresses there.

the guy sending 1sat is using the blockchain and sending sats to addresses that are on the blockchain, not forum posts.
i know this because i do not advertise my deposit address of an exchange. but within an hour of making a deposit to that address, the exchange then received a 1sat payment, which linked back to the same spammer.
as for whomever whatever sent the op the 0.003 amount, (most probably luckybit advertising) i do not know how they obtain addresses as i have never received any other spam from other sources, apart from the 1sat spammer

I have also received 1 transaction of 1 satoshi with a message containing a possible fishing site of lastpass.
Last I checked it was still not confirmed.
When I looked at wallet address there were a tons of outgoing transaction of 1 satoshi to different accounts. Is this a new way of hacking accounts or just plain spam?

This has happened to me before. Copy you're private key and put it in multi bit or vice versa. When updating it will all be fine!
