Some of them might be skeptical because crypto isn't mainstream so there would definitely be some teaching of the concept but it could be worth the effort.  Also, as you mentioned, a social media campaign that specifically targeted facebookgroups/subreddits/hashtags contextual to low energy production would enable you to target like minded people. 

As well, I think that having a small giveaway on BTCtalk forum is a great idea but I would even start a new thread for that.  Should receive some more interest from the community that way.  I am not sure if the Polo trollbox is down with small giveaways for coins that they don't carry on their exchange but it certainly is something that is worth asking them about - It could be a way to get a couple of new investors involved.

I would like to suggest we consider going POS from POW.

Greencoin stands for saving energy and promoting use of renewable energy sources. On the other hand we're 'using' (I'm not using the word 'wasting' because that calls for a greater debate) a lot of electricity just producing new coins. I believe this conflicts with our base goal.

I say make a bot and sub-reddit and start tipping people on twitter and reddit, not everyone but people who do good for the environment. It will spread the message that we support the nature and it will attract people to learn about the coin and learn the initiative behind the Green coin.
