Oh hell... with an opening like this why not just throw your laundry onto the court of public opinion. State the facts of the escrow dispute openly, and I'm sure you can get a lively discussion going to consider the case.

There is no laundry yet.... All I need to somebody to be co-signatory for 2-of-3 transaction where secure deposit will be located.... ONLY in event of dispute resolution 2 parties will need to touch escrow to make a ruling based on the contract that they will both sign before making a deal... This is why we need somebody with high authority EDIT: it does not necessary must be free... Let's say - 2 BTC per any request - why not?

I stand corrected. If your search for virgins in a brothel does not work, I would consent to being your co-signatory on the escrow.

The only problem with you - you are just a nickname on some forum on the internet.... I would like to see some real, trustworthy, verifiable person here.... because if we will be talking about 1000K BTCs here it can become hot....

To clarify, do you need someone to actually hold those coins for you, or only make a judgment in case the two parties dont agree? Big difference; if its the latter you mostly need someone objective and rational. Since Im not aware of any lawyers frequenting this forum, Id pick a mathematician. Meni Rosenfeld? If the former, pick someone who is not likely to be tempted by 1K coins (*). GigaVPS comes to mind. (*) Im assuming you meant 1K.. If you really meant 1M, I wouldnt trust anyone, I wouldnt even trust myself!

I would consider it, contingent on me reserving the right to change my mind before agreeing once further details were known (such as if I thought the potential of an escalated dispute was high, or if it involved criminal/unethical activity).
|
Companies claiming they got hacked and lost your coins sounds like fraud so perfect it could be called fashionable. I never believe them. If I ever experience the misfortune of a real intrusion, I declare I have been honest about the way I have managed the keys in Casascius Coins. I maintain no ability to recover or reproduce the keys, not even under limitless duress or total intrusion. Remember that trusting strangers with your coins without any recourse is, as a matter of principle, not a best practice. Don't keep coins online. Use paper or hardware wallets instead.

He said you would be one of the signatories on a 2-of-3 transaction, so you wouldn't have access to all the funds, no matter how much. You would just need to do dispute resolution.

Theymos.
Agreed on this. He currently holds 2200 BTC for the forum and also has the Bitcoin alert key. The only problem would be convincing him to do this.
