Donation request to support Coin2 with a second cloud mining contract
The Dev Team needs about BTC 0.03 (USD 120) for a 1 TH/s Bitcoin mining contract with HashFlare.io
Incomes from this mining contract will be reinvested to increase the hashing power.
Donations to this BTC address will stay open until August 31th: 1CXucNGgukK8LmRzFXQcuk5oEHrfh7yV9k
Thank you in advance for your support !

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the
subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The
subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

If the C2 team would like to get in touch with crazyjack, psybits, or myself to discuss a new partnership or collaboration then please feel free to do so. We are always looking to expand the reach of crypto in gaming and the best way to do this is with a large team all working together.

Update regarding the cloud mining contracts
Here is the first payouts from the 1 TH/s SHA contract with Genesis Mining to support Coin2 functioning cost:
21.08.2017 BTC 0.00180138 1HjrLLWnEb4oziA5ikaqV9LZQQ1HsNDSLC (to the Dev Team Poloniex account) 20.08.2017 BTC 0.00020038 19.08.2017 BTC 0.00019998 18.08.2017 BTC 0.00019582 17.08.2017 BTC 0.00019714 16.08.2017 BTC 0.00020174 15.08.2017 BTC 0.00020073 14.08.2017 BTC 0.00020244 13.08.2017 BTC 0.00020300
TX: 03ab233e69ef018ff86b3dcdc9d68b80cb4b2471900aab2f4eb965f690b91fce
We can expect better payouts for the next 2 weeks because the mining difficulty should decrease.
Incomes were reinvested immediately in a 0.07 TH/s contract with HashFlare for BTC 0.0021 (including TX fee) to address: 3Ekru9Ujh74rCyd3D6pQbNVkSH2RLgf67Q.
Donations to this BTC address are welcome to support the project: 1HjrLLWnEb4oziA5ikaqV9LZQQ1HsNDSLC
Note: we changed the donation address because of the Coinbase TX fee that are very to high.
Edit: Next week I will perform some test with rented hashing power for myself. It will allow me to use many PH/s for Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash or altcoins mining and the profit will be the difference between the incomes and the rental cost. If it is working as expected, I will launch the same thing for Coin2 and support the first HP order with BTC 0.01.
The profit would be used to increase the hashing power faster and to add some price support with some buy orders on the exchanges.

NEWS regarding the Buy Back Program (BBP)
Dear Coin2 holders,
The last buy order of the BBP was filled today on Yobit and it ended the current round with an effective balance of 11,400,000 C2. The end of this round also means that the Bitcoin balance is null.
10 Mil C2 are stored in a computer wallet : https://chainz.cryptoid.info/c2/address.dws?22480.htm. 1,4 Mil C2 are on the 3 exchanges as sell orders for the next round. 50k C2 were spent as donation to supply the Cryptopia reward bot. 50k C2 were spent as donation to supply the Cryptoguru.tk faucet (http://cryptoguru.tk/Faucet/index.php?Currency=C2) 50k C2 were used to swap a user balance who provided his wallet.dat file with the 48,750.00 C2 as proof, the amount of the initial distribution to the first 1000.
We started this round with about 7.6 BTC from the last pump on Poloniex and we effectively purchased 11,550 Mil C2. We spent 1.25 BTC for the Coin2 listing on Cryptopia and a few BTC here and there to add Coin2 on the Novaexchange vote list, to purchase a first 1 TH/S contract with Genesis Mining and to pay some functioning fee.
The end of this round is a real success and a big step forward because the purpose of the 10 Mil wallet was to decrease the Coin2 supply to about 120 Mil before the swap, allowing a reverse split with a 6:1 ratio. Therefore the new coin supply will be 20 Mil after that and it is the first specification of the new coin!
The coins of the 10 Mil wallet won't move anymore and won't stake to limit the inflation. Only a part would be exchanged for new coins after the deadline of the swap and the computation will be very simple: new coins balance multiplied by 6.
We will have to use 250k C2 (from the exchanges) to restore users balance of the Coin2 online wallet (http://coinstore.me/wallet/) and to relaunch it, because the accidental cancellation of the VPS contract has burned 250k C2 last year.
Today you can already consider that the effective Coin2 supply is about 122,233,000 after the deduction of the 10 Mil wallet and the 250k burned coins.
In spite of the low exchange volume, the BBP will continue to run for many purpose. As the Coin2 supply is continuously rising, the first one will be to compensate the inflation before the swap. The second purpose is the build-up of a capital which will be intended for the (Coin2) Foundation, an other ambitious project. Our objective is to provide about 6 Mil of C2 or 1/20 of the new coin supply to the (Coin2) Foundation, because this capital will be the basis of an other great project: supporting the new coin value with real money and assets like units in mutual funds, etc.
Once again, please remember that Coin2 is a long term project and the completion will require some time.
I wish you all a very good week !

Hi all, I just saw this subject pop up on my facebook links and would like to know what I should do to engage in the process. My wallet has not been opened for a while now since the sad loss of our main developer.
I'm willing to support the process if it means going forward again. Currently I am trying to sync my wallet to ensure all is well, I expect this to take some time though. I will let you know when it has synced and how many coins are held.

Hi Hammers and welcome back here Many thanks you for your proposal. The next task will be the new coins specification or white paper. It looks important to bring something new to gain a strong interest for the new coin and to attract more users. Regarding your wallet, please check which release your are using. The last one is the v2.1.3.1 and the previous are not able to sync anymore. Do not hesitate to send me a PM if you need some support to update your wallet and to sync.

The unlock button is still off because your wallet is not encrypted with a passphrase. Once encrypted the wallet will be locked and the button will be on. You wallet is minting because Coin2 is a Proof of Stake coin. It generates earnings (new coins with a compounded interest) on your incoming transactions regarding the coins age.

Anything new happens with Coin2? I have been holding my stash since poloniex delisted this coin and I hope someone can revive this coin.
It is still alive on 3 exchanges and many markets: Yobit, Cryptopia and Novaexchange. The long term project is to develop a new coin with a better technology and a supply decreased to 20 Mil with a reverse split. I released some news regarding this here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=824499.msg21262676#msg21262676I worked hard on the Bitcoin mining concept to increase my personal incomes and I will use the same model for Coin2. The incomes from the cloud mining contracts will be used to purchase some hashing power for Bitcoin mining at NiceHash when the price is low. It will increase the Coin2 capital of about 5% whenever possible to mine. It's going to start in about a week, after the next payout from Genesis Mining and after the monthly withdrawal at HashFlare. The previous days I studied a system with higher remuneration using an other mining pool. The block reward is based on the scoring hash rate, a computed average of the hashing power. Each miner is paid regarding the power provided to the pool when a new block is found, instead of a number of shares. It is like a block hunt that requires a full time monitoring to mine continuously and it requires more capital to catch several blocks in a few time with a sufficient reserve to mine longer in case of bad estimation of the round duration. It is possible to double or to triple the initial investment with a perfect timing, but it is more risked with a small capital. This could be a next step to increase the incomes for mining contracts upgrades, for future projects and to buy back some coins from the market. I will start this as soon as my experience will be sufficient to afford it.
