I don't know what's funnier, him endorsing those articles as reliable sources (as he clearly wrote them) or trying to impersonate Gavin on RipoffReport.    That's right, INTERPOL IS AFTER MICROCASH. LOLOLOLOL.No rational person, after reading that article would ever 'endorse' it. So we can clearly conclude BCX is the author of those two articles.   He sounds quite concerned in that post. Unfortunately his tone is not enough to convince anyone. |

Even if he wrote that, even if he impersonated someone nothing much could be dont against it.
Its not as if the "other" side would be better. Spreading lies about Bitcoin is not different to spreading lies about Microcash, except for the simple fact that Microcash is - different to bitcoin - not meant only to rip off people.
You guys here are acting like Creationists and Evolutionists - though i'd rather say that Bitcoin is on the evolutionist side...

You don't seem to have any reason to suspect BCX any more than any of the other MC haters on this board. It could have been CoinHunter as some kind of strawman thing to dismiss arguments against MC or some stupid exercise is getting publicity from someone in the MC camp. EDIT: I think the repeated phrase 'microcash scam' may have confused you. It's common practice among a lot of people when dealing with a new company, product, or thing to google it looking for negative and positive feedback from other people. It's not unusual to add 'scam' to the end of various things to see what comes back. Try 'paypal scam' for example. |

You should seriously ask that question to BitcoinEXpress and his sockies. I don't want to say this, but the responses to this topic are quite polite. None of the bashing and trolling I expected for being on the other side of BCX. |

the difference is this:
bitcoin is 100% decentralized and open source. reviewable code and mechanics.
solidcoin/microcash has a central authority and ways for the creator to influence the currencies behavior.

Solidcoin is decentralized and open source. It has reviewable code and mechanics. The 12 trust nodes are highly centralized, but it is not a central authority. Assuming they aren't all RS which is of course a valid possibility.
It has the same exact central authority that bitcoin has--developers. But since there are only 10 people using it it is a lot easier for them to convince the other 7 that this upgrade is worth it.
AFAIK there is no kill switch or anything in SC2, but I have not reviewed the code. I'm sure BCX has with a fine-toothed comb though and we haven't seen a kill switch thread so I am going to assume it does not exist.
Sure RS & his cronies are shady, underhanded liars, but I don't see a whole lot of difference from how bitcoin started. Just several vocal people who've got something to lose if bitcoin gets real competitors. And frankly I don't know what they're so afraid of with solidcoin/microcash, it's crap and isn't going to go anywhere just because it has its own message board.
