One of the hardest part of living in the Bitcoin world is finding a bite to eat! With that in mind, we've begun to focus on sustainable ways of providing food to Bitcoiners. We're still working on getting our own farm, but in the mean-time, check out our first project:

Our co-founder Adam Soltys and his partner Chelsea Greenwood are offering a prepared meals program for the month of November. They'll make you lunch and dinner for 6 days a week and deliver the meals in containers to your home or office. The meals are designed to be nutritious and delicious using local, organic, ethically sourced ingredients. There will be a new menu posted every 3 days for you to make selections from. Get a discount if you pay with Bitcoin!

Full details at http://karmafarma.ca/

EDIT: The Bitcoin Co-op Food Initiative has been upgraded. Please see the below post:

This is still going on, but we're no longer doing Karma Farma, the website for which is now dead. Now our founder has an actual farm that accepts Bitcoin, and you get 10% off all produce for paying with cryptocurrency. It's great if you're trying to live on bitcoins--the details are below.

"we can only deliver to Richmond and Vancouver"   Yes, Calif has a Richmond, but I don't think there's a Vancouver; anyway the .ca is the internet country code for Canada

We're working on expanding our program's reach. Tongue Until then, you'll have to learn to grow your own food.

I published your op.

It doesn't hurt, but it can help if the info used is more comprehensive.

We need more projects like this. While the bigger supermarkets ignore Bitcoin for now, we would have to survive on the smaller guys to feed us. I have bought coffee and honey with Bitcoin and I would go for

other food products too, if it's natural and eco-friendly. The junk food merchants are also getting a % of my coins for the mexican food I buy from the stalls in the Open markets.

Seize the opportunity, whilst their is still a gap in the market. By the time these bigger Super markets latch onto Bitcoin, you would already have a established customer base.  Grin Grin

Ideally other Bitcoiners around the world will also get Bitcoin farms up and running, because we cannot ship fresh organic produce. We do, however, make preserves--that might keep in the mail. I can ask if anybody is interested.

Our Bitcoin farm is closing down for the season! There will be no more open markets, but our founder is still making deliveries for the next couple weeks. If you're stuck and hungry in the Vancouver area, reach out and we'll see if we can help.
