I am going to cancun in Nov and was wondering if there were many services setup to accept bitcoin in that area.

You can write letter to Mexican embassy and ask  Do not think, there can be many places, accepting BTC

Travel. Bitcoin is pretty easy to carry so I'll bring some with me .
