Quoting Locked Topics

I find the quote feature very useful when referencing old posts.

It would be nice to have the quote feature available even on locked topics.

Yeah this would be useful as I've run into this issue before, though you can obviously just copy and paste the text and link to the post, but a proper quote is always better.

Thanks for the heads up. This is a bug in the existing SMF system and we won't make the same mistake. It's also ridiculous because of the lack of references to the actual version and the quote is a literal copy/paste action automation.

Yeah this would be useful as I've run into this issue before, though you can obviously just copy and paste the text and link to the post, but a proper quote is always better.

This an alternative way but needs to spend time. If this is implemented, I think the quote should be copied directly to clipboard as 'reply' box won't show for locked topics unless any other option is implemented.
