Hey everyone,

I have another thread advertising my general developer services, but I have a new, more specific offer:

I will clone any crypto game site for you.

It doesn't matter how unique or complex; I can take any game idea and build a working copy of it for you. I will build a site that works exactly like the other site and create a design that mimics theirs.

Details

We can work in milestones. I'll write up a formal contract ahead of time outlining what I'm going to build, by when, for how much, and we can split the project into tenths to minimize risk for both of us.

My previous projects are in other thread, but there's no need really: you're not telling me to build something and then worrying if I'll build
it right or not; you pay me when you see a site that works exactly like the other site. (Of course, we can negotiate taking out certain features if you want to lower price, etc. but that's separate.)

The clone will come with an admin panel of course. More generally, I will build it in a way that will be easy for you to manage yourself, hire other developers to extend, and hire designers to re-design later.

I can work in whatever language, but I'm fastest in Python, and I can charge the lowest rates for that. If you want me to use a language I'm not as familiar/am slower with I'll have to charge some kind of premium.

Prices

I can clone most dice sites for around $1,500 (we're talking about full-fledged dice sites with autobet, 2fa, chat, security figured out, everything coded from scratch, entire design created based on other site, etc.). For other types of sites it varies depending on what I need to build.

Contact

Also, if you want, I have other services too! I can:

Cheers,
Nate

Why not? I'm not stealing any of their code. This has been done hundreds of times (every dice site is pretty much a clone of PrimeDice in some way, if you look at them). I wouldn't steal the design either, I'd just build something structurally similar, and website design ideas are stolen every day anyway. No one makes a website expecting no one to copy it.

PST (it's 9 am right now) but I'm a polyphasic sleeper + awake at really odd hours. You can chat me any time and there's a good chance I'll be online. How about you?

While it is true that many people are stealing ideas from some other people or some other sites, it is still morally not right IMHO.
I don't think you deserve a negative trust for offering the service though.

I am not saying there shouldn't be any dice games, roulette or blackjack because someone else has developed it already.
What I want to say is that new site owners shouldn't look for cloning 99% of a site and changing just 1% of it.

For example, PD and JD offer pretty much the same game, but do you consider one a clone of another? I don't.

I guess my response is that the meaning of 'stealing ideas' changes with different kinds of technology. Is it really stealing to download music, for example? The way websites work, data/designs can be copied so easily that you shouldn't rely solely on your website to offer value to users.

If the only innovative part of a site is the site design itself, it's not really that innovative anyway. PrimeDice isn't hurt by people cloning them, because what they really offer is trust, security, a strong community and the name brand of being the first. reddit is so easy to clone too, but if you clone them you won't get very far because you don't have their established community. What really matters is the underlying value; the website is just what people click on.

Likewise, if I clone a dice game for someone, and he markets it really well and grows a community under him, what he really deserves credit for is growing that community. If all he does is have me rip off some site and then try to put it out there, no one will play it anyway.

If you invent an iPhone it feels shitty to see Samsung copy it, but software is so malleable that anyone building a website should expect it to be ripped. You have to offer innovation somewhere else.

Thanks either way though, for keeping an open/tolerant mind and saying that you don't think I deserve negative trust.

@elm: Sorry about that, truth is I'm working out of a Starbucks and the internet's extremely spotty.

I can still respond to PMs though and have responded to all PMs in the last few hours.
