Funny shit. Unfortunately, this is what you get 99% of the times when you try to use Bitcoin as an actual currency. People have no clue and it's still a small niche of an audience, which is mostly wealthy investors, early adopters, and people trying to catch on. Hopefully this will someday change... I still don't see how tho.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

I agree that the Bitcoin niche will remain small, for quite a long time.
People are very comfortable with using regular money; they see no urgent need to adapt to using Crypto-currencies.
It would be more of an inconvenience to them at this point, even though they could save a little, with low transaction fees.

Maybe im old.

These "prank" videos are a gunshot to the head away from no longer being funny, nearly every time.

Idiots.

Scratch that.  Darwin called it Natural Selection.  Carry on, pranksters.

People like that piss me off actually, don't fuck around with people with something serious, it's fine if you want to ask if they take Bitcoin fine but don't be a persistent cunt about it. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to send a polite email asking my gemstone providers if they will take Bitcoin and then just do business as usual if they don't want to.

Define long time? 5 years it has taken to become more powerful than the US dollar (400 times more buying power)
Perhaps you forget the United States have only been around for 238 years, and that the world is billions of years old.
Bank notes were first printed in 1661 (not long ago) in Europe "Stockholms Banco in Sweden was the first European bank to print banknotes. The bank was founded in 1657 by Johan Palmstruch and began printing banknotes in 1661."
So you need to be more clear about what "a long time" is.  The blink of an eye my friend, that's how fast it will happen.

Good point there actually, we could be wasting all our time on this idea. It could fail in 3 days or it could rocket to be accepted in 10 years.
