I would personally turn off this feature as I think there is little reason to visit the forum for the sole reason that someone replied to your topic.
Well, I disagree - that's why I turned that feature on in the first place
I'm not a huge fan of visiting a site just to check if there's any notifications, only to be greeted by a little number that tells me nothing of what the notification is actually about. With the semi-instant e-mails, I can check wherever I want and see whether it's something I'd like to read about right away, or put it off until later. But that's me

Nope, not a phishing e-mail - there's no funny business going on in it, no wacky links, no hidden HTML part with tracking pixels or anything of the sort;
