Greetings DayTraders, we have some updates for you today!
First, we now have QT wallets available for both Windows and OSX. With the Windows wallet, you will have the option to trade DTC on Bittrex by entering your API keys in the "Trade" tab. Both wallets also include our IRC chat so traders can drop by and discuss TA and other market strategies with our team and each other. For those of you who are unable to use the QT wallet, you can still join us in #daytraderchat on freenode via any IRC client, and also through the "Live Chat" tab on the CSN website (
http://www.coinstreetnews.com/chat). We hope to build a strong community and encourage participation by having a place outside of Bitcointalk to congregate.
Additionally, we have established some new nodes to support the network. They have been integrated as seed nodes in the updated wallets, but for those of you still using the old ones, you may add the following IPs to your daytradercoin.conf file:

CSN will be starting a premium membership group.
We have also decided to run a contest that will allow traders to win a free spot in the Basic membership group. Once in the Basic group, traders then have the ability to win a spot in the Premium group.Contest Details:
The contest will be open to the general public from Dec 3-14 2014. The winner announced on Dec 16th and will be added to our membership group until Dec 31 2014.
How to Win:
CSN is all about helping people develop trading skills, thus the contest is modeled around the idea of “Who is the Best Trader”. The person with the greatest gains wins, pretty simple right? Right! The “Buy Side” total must be equal or greater than 0.5BTC and the person with the greatest gain (the “Sell Side” total) wins the game/contest. The 0.5BTC spent can, for example, be 0.1BTC traded 5 or more times. You do not need to buy 0.5BTC outright just a minimum buy total of 0.5BTC.

only, but we thought of a unique way to increase the value of DTC.
How It Works:When a person pays for membership they will pay in BTC. Shortly after that, CSN will send the corresponding amount of DTC to a public wallet address. Then, on a monthly basis we will burn the DTC reserves until a good chunk of our DTC is gone, thus raising the value over time by reducing available supply. Also, once a month CSN will be running a contest and the winner of the contest will win free entry into the group for a couple of weeks.
Why a Premium Membership?Crypto has less volume lately, and the action in the stock, currency, and commodities markets are far too tempting to be ignored. Essentially, DTC will be used as a key to unlock the tools needed to become better day trader (hence the name DayTraderCoin). This is a long term project and due to the innovation being discussed it may take several months to implement the final feature, though the basic applications will be implemented over then next 3-5 weeks.

LAUNCH UPDATESHello miners,
The concerns brought up in the thread have been noted and acted upon.
After weighing the options, the decision came down to: altering the PoS timeline or patching the coin for a lower difficulty. A patch would punish
the people that have already mined, and lowering the difficulty leaves the door open for other problems too.
Thus after balancing the pros and cons, changing the PoS start time to keep blocks moving seems the most fair of the solutions.
The following is a quote from the coin dev:
"We took a far more aggressive approach to retargeting than previous x13 coins trying to ensure a more even
distribution. The side effect being block times were longer than expected rather than shorter as in most cases
(instamining). The solution was to either introduce POS earlier or adjust POW difficulty. Once the patch was being
written it was it was discovered that code checking the POS start time had been removed. This inadvertently led
to the client not needing a fork to update. We will be releasing a client update to add checkpoints, modifiers etc."

Regarding the pandaminers pool:
According to the pool op, the DDoS began shortly after launch and they have continued to work hard to mitigate it. However they were forced to shut down the stratum so there will be no further mining on pandaminers. They are still working to get the front end back up so miners can withdraw their coins. Some payouts should have already been processed.
While fighting the DDoS, some miners may have had their IP addresses banned accidentally. Please post in the thread if you have this problem and the pool op will PM you to fix the issue.
