I don't think it will have any potential positive impact on bitcoin.

The only way I see it potentially affecting it is indirectly by people being scarred to catch Ebola so they stay at home and do not go out shopping which would cause an economic downturn which would cause less bitcoin related transactions to take place

I don't think this would be necessary, at least not yet. Receiving payments/donations is one of a charities smallest expenses as banks generally will give some kind of a discount for credit card processing and banking services so they will not have the huge costs that most retail stores have in accept fiat based payments

This could really convince people to use BTC, especially if the Ebola scare keeps getting bigger. I'm hoping Ebola goes away and BTC finds other ways to spread.

That's a good one! The only way ebola can be confined to hospitals is if the powers that be quit allowing nurses to travel in locked up tubes with hundreds of other passengers sharing the same sweaty toilet seats. The only saving grace would be if said nurses had aisle seats with the middle seats vacant, lacking the latter caveat decreases the odds of that occurring below 33%, dividing that percentage by the number of nurses that traveled said way, with one being one too many.

I specifically recall reading that the hospital in Dallas just went through some extensive ebola training prior to Eric Duncan's first visit, at which time he was sent home. Now, I'm reading that the very same hospital DIDN'T have any formal training to treat ebola patients.

What I'm witnessing is a clan of folks fucking up the coverup, all the while fucking up the actual spreading of ebola, not even able to get that right.

They know they're doing it. We know they're doing it. They know that we know that they're doing it. So, why don't they just accelerate the process and do it?

And it may affect if the transactions between bitcoins and commodities really be closed to each other, in this way, the economic downturn can cause a downturn to bitcoin.

I have a friend, who works in a lab, where tests are done daily, to detect ebola. He says the gear they wear and the decontamination process, they have to follow, is very costly and people are not ready for such a outbreak in any country, foor that matter.

Money handling, is the least of their worries. {When a infected person cough, it's air borne}

Yes, you might decrease the risk, if you used BTC to buy online, but you would have to decontaminate the goods you bought. Most of the products, you buy, will not kill this virus. {Dettol / Savalon etc.} Those are good for bacteria, not virusses.

One household product, does kill it, and that is "Bleach" {Very strong} so you might want to wash your fiat with that.
