Hi,

My C: drive had 2 gigs free. I installed bitcoin and let it run the initial setup, ie downloading history or something. It totally filled my drive, I have 23mb free and bitcoin stopped with a 'disk is full' error.

Where are all the files it downloaded so I can delete them? I have already uninstalled the software, which didn't make any real difference.

thanks

check c:\users\<your user name>\app data\roaming\bitcoin

assuming you are using windows vista/7.

If you're on Windows, C:->Users->"computer name"->AppData(this is hidden by default -- go to control panel, folder options, and tick the box to show hidden files and folders)->Roaming->Bitcoin

Delete everything in the Bitcoin folder. If you want to keep your wallet file, don't delete the wallet.dat file.

If you're interested in using Bitcoin without downloading the blockchain, there are lightweight alternatives such as Electrum.
