"Godzilla Resurgence" -- also known as "Shin Godzilla" or New Godzilla -- is the latest addition to the long-running Japanese movie series that began in 1954. It will be released in the U.S. on Oct. 11. Just as the original movie reflected the trauma of World War II and the atomic bombings, so "Godzilla Resurgence" reflects Japan's triple disaster of Fukushima (earthquake, tsunami and nuclear meltdown) of March 2011 as well as today's geopolitical perils.
