My only concern is how to prove I'm honest (other than previous activity and trades here).

Well that's everyone's problem, isn't it? A good OTC record goes a long way.

Honestly I don't think this will ever work. There are so many of those pass through operations already and people don't seem to mind a small fee anyway.
