After spending the last two hours googling to the best of my ability and coming up with nothing, I've come to this forum (hopefully the right part of it, my apologies if there is a better board for this inquiry) hoping it's my search-fu that is lacking rather than reality.

Are there any services out there for a merchant who wants to be able to receive debit/credit card (paypal as well would be nice) payments as bitcoins?

Over 100 views and no replies yet huh. Maybe this really is in the wrong board... (if it is and a mod sees this, I'd really appreciate being moved into the correct board, thank you.)

No. There is no such service, nor would it be a good idea, as the risk of chargeback fraud is too great.

For future reference, proper forum etiquette is to wait at least 24 hours before asking why nobody is responding to your thread.

Sorry about the break in protocol Foxpup.

As for more detail bitcats, what I meant was I would like to have the ability to set up online payments wherein the customer has the option to pay in debit/credit/paypal (or bitcoin at a discount) and if payment wasn't initially made in bitcoin some service converts the funds into BTC for me, so I don't have to directly interact with electronic Fiat. (It's a personal distaste of mine, the only fiat that my own mental hangups are comfortable with is cash.)

You might take a look @  bitnet.io, BitPay, Coinbase, ..

Those all enable a merchant to take bitcoins as payment, which is one of the options I was already looking into.

Unfortunately, it seems likely that Foxpup is right and there aren't any services which take a customer's debit/credit funds and converts them into bitcoin to pay me with during a transaction.
