Yeah, I don't get how they calculate it. I'm only familiar with European odds.
USA odds:
for hockey and baseball a moneyline bet looks like +140, -129, -220, +135 etc
basically this means that if you make a bet that is an underdog (like my minnesota NHL bet tonight) it will be a + number. The +140 basically means bet 1 to win 1.4
same thing for favorite lines. for example, lets say i bet on a team that is favored and the line is -129. It means that you have to bet 1.29 to win 1
As far as college football, nfl, nba and college basketball go i never bet moneylines and always bet spreads. That is the plus or minus number after the team i pick. That is the number of points they are getting or giving up. Usually spread picks are always around -105 to -110.
