At the moment there isn't a direct way to get Canadian dollars for your bitcoins. You can sell on sites like bitcoinmarket.com through paypal for USD or you can try and find Canadians on the forums willing to buy for CND. At one point MtGox said he was going to set something up for Canadians but I haven't heard much lately about that.
At the moment, I use bitcoinmarket.com with paypal but it kinda sucks to loose money on the exchange rate from USD to CND. Problem now is PayPal is being a bitch and froze my last received payment for some BTC I sold. Still waiting for them to read my explanation and hoping they don't freeze my account. So really, it's not easy for Canadians to exchange bitcoins for other currencies. It's rather a pain.

How many do you have available? The best way is to find a buyer (like me), and have them send you payment over Interac Email transfer.
And use the bitcoin-otc web of trust.

there's nanimo gold, which buys bitcoin for CAD. also does direct deposit to canadian banks. i haven't personally dealt with them (don't really have enough bitcoin for it to be worthwhile), but a friend of mine has had good experiences with them.

Thanks for the suggestion but Nanaimo Gold only offers 4.8395 CAD presently. Thanks to everyone who responded. Any other suggestions?

I've already traded with SteveB, so I don't think I'll be wanting to buy any more, for now.
Thanks for the interest.

Transfer bitcoins to an american bank account and forex the money over to a canadian.
I know all the major Canadian banks make it very simple to open up an american account, most you can do it online. There will be a forex fee of about 1% but that pretty negligible for the convince of transferring.

Yeah, there needs to be a Canadian-based exchange permitting interac email transfers. Preferably within a TFSA account!

cavirtex.com is one of the longest standing exchanges for Canadians. They are based in Canada and deal in Canadian transactions. I have been using them for quite some time to do trades, although I have not made a cash withdrawal yet, only BTC. I am based in Canada so I would also consider buying BTC for EMT, PM me for exploitive rates

I would also recomment user: CCLIU, he sells silver items for BTC in the goods section but also deals in BTC for CAD via EMT, look him up if you want.
