If the sort of growth we've seen this past month continues, it's safe to say that the spot price of Bitcoin will be at least $100. That being said, it could go much, much higher! If the dark pools closed and large buyers were forced to make orders out in the open I'd say it'd be over 9000 within a couple years.
Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

The dark pool mysticism is silly. Dark pools move the price just like other orders after the fact, they absorb supply and demand just as well as visible orders. The only difference is that they don't risk moving the price before they get filled. It's hardly different than paying a kindergartener to click to make another order for 100 appear each time yours is taken.

Less than $1/btc or more than $9000/btc in two years imo. How did you pick $9k?

Past performance does not predict the future.

Otherwise at noon, I would think it would be 4000 degrees on earth by next year.

Still, with the pools closed, there's no telling how high it could go!

$9000 would 1.35% of the U.S. money supply.  I would not count on that for some time.

2015 actually does seem realistic but I do predict that bitcoin will get to around 2000 and drop again to maybe 700, and probably another one around 5000 to 3000 and then climb again. Now this has nothing to do with science just a "gut" feel that has been right as of lately.

Its not so clever to necro old threads.  In 2 years, people will be pulling up "Can Bitcoin ever reach $10k?" threads and it won't be clever then either.

I really highly doubt BTC will get over 5k in its lifetime because at some point people will start selling a lot more than buying and then it won't really every go anywhere because the small guy can't mine and no one is really trying to come into the game now and start shit up.
