I was wondering if anyone know if mining software for older Nvidia cards like the 8400gs or similar?

u can find an old version of cgminer 3.1-3.3 and start mining scrypt coins. check first if ur card supports opencl.  i used to own an 8600gt and the hashrate was 10kh/s. Not worth it though. waste of energy

Old cards aren't good for mining, they consume more electricity then what they pay for..

else if you wanna code as a hobby, there is cudaminer... ccminer is now for SM 3.0 mini

I was actually looking for something to mine newer algorithms like x11 or s3 ... since they are alot faster.

Your GPU is too old, not worth for any algo..

I actually had that GPU before. Its crazy old school. But yes , you are better off mining with CPU instead of GPU.

I actually had that GPU before. Its crazy old school. But yes , you are better off mining with CPU instead of GPU.
