The title says it all. I'm wondering how much it's worth. By broken, I mean that it's not cut in half, it just doesn't mine anymore.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Depends on miner. Avalon Patch1 were good aluminum housings, for re-use.

You can use the old KNC controller with new Neptune cube .

Some people like me are also buying defective miners to play or experiment with them, and sometimes repair them.
Usually, 1/5 to 1/10 of the lowest $/GH rate for new hardware.

Just like everything else - it is worth whatever someone else is willing to pay for it.

If it is something that may be fixable, it may have more value to someone who likes to tinker.

I think it depends on the miner. If only the controller board is broken, you might still get some $$ for it. If the chips itself are dead most likely next to nothing.
It really depends on what miner you got, and what is defective.
